On this matter, I believe the Log Cabin acted on the assumption that the White House would not fight them ... and frankly speaking, given the present political scene, it was the best thing an interest group could do to untarnish a bit the image of the Republican party, while allowing Republicans to not even touch it for whatever matter ...
